Our Team
Kathy Mattson Zoeller
Since establishing Mattson Communications, Inc. in early 2000, Kathy Mattson Zoeller has steadily built her PR consulting practice into a virtual agency of contractors with a broad range of communications talents who regularly exceed client expectations for quality marketing communications results. In her role as president, Kathy is responsible not only for strategic counseling, but also for implementing clients’ day-to-day communications needs. This hands-on approach to client services, combined with a commitment to controlled growth, has resulted in a firm that generates new business almost exclusively through referrals.
A 20-year veteran of corporate communications, investor relations and financial services, Kathy has extensive experience providing public relations services for clients in the financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and technology fields. She has counseled senior management from Fortune 500 to start-up companies, and she maintains close relationships with key industry analysts, high-profile media and business-to-business association executives.
Prior to establishing Mattson Communications, Kathy was Vice President for EBS Public Relations, the Midwest’s largest high-technology PR firm, which was acquired by Porter Novelli Convergence Group. Kathy previously served as Vice President of Business and Financial PR for Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, the largest independent public relations firm.
In addition to her agency experience, Kathy was the Manager of Investor Relations for Abbott Laboratories, one of the world’s leading healthcare companies.
Kathy earned her MBA from The Babcock School of Management at Wake Forest University and her BA in Economics from Salem College in Winston-Salem, N.C.
